Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
Due to the increasing complexity of vehicles and insurance rules and regulations, estimates can take 15-20 minutes to complete, depending upon the extent of damage. For this reason we require appointments to make sure our estimators are given enough time to complete estimates.

Our estimates are free of charge and can be scheduled online or by calling one of our locations.

2. When should I contact my insurance company?
You should always inform your insurance company of a collision involving another party, that way they can inform you of the proper next steps.

If you decide the cost of repair is more than you expected after receiving your estimate and want to use your insurance company, just give them a call and let them know you received an estimate from Kenwood Auto Body and would like for them to repair your vehicle. Your insurance company will either have us on their preferred list and we can send that estimate up to them directly, or if not we will work directly with the adjuster assigned to your claim and there will be nothing else you need to do. We make the process simple and quick for you.

3. Do I have to take my vehicle to a specific repair shop?
NO! That is steering and it is illegal. It is your vehicle and you have the right to have it repaired wherever you feel comfortable.

Not all collision repair shops are equal. Make sure the shop you choose has all the right equipment and training to repair your vehicle to manufacture specifications.

4. How long will my repairs take?
The time it takes to repair a damaged vehicle all depends on the severity of the damages. Once our trained estimators complete your estimate and source the parts needed from our venders we will be able to give you a rough estimated time of completion. We can guarantee you we will never sacrifice quality of workmanship to have your car done faster.

5. Can you match the factory paint color?
Our highly trained and certified painters are given all of the tools needed to match your paint color. With the use of color matching cameras, color chips and tinting techniques we can guarantee a factory color match.

6. Do you offer rental cars?
Kenwood Auto Body has relationships with all of the large rental car companies. Our repair shops all have rental companies either on site or right near by.

If you need a rental car during your repairs, let one of our employees know and we will be sure to have that set up for you.

7. What types of vehicles do you work on?
We work on all makes and models, foreign and domestic, and are certified by multiple vehicle manufacturers.

8. Do you offer a warranty?
We stand behind all of our repairs with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle.
